Before joining the Collections Trust I worked for an arts festival in Yorkshire. I have also completed an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies during which I ta lot of time volunteering in several museums and galleries. I am very pleased to have secured this role allowing me to be working within the museum sector. I believe that museums are incredibly important, not only as a reflection of the past, but also as a way of shaping the present and future. Access and engagement are really important issues being explored constantly by the sector in order for museums to create the best possible experience for the public with their collections.

My position at the Collections Trust is to provide support in order to create successful events, with a particular emphasis on the annual two-day Open Culture event in June. This isĀ ’the’ leading international event for professionals working with Collections in museums, archives, libraries and private collections. Events in this sector are crucial to enable museum professionals from all over the world to network with each other and share best practice.

In my spare time I like to read (with my initial BA degree being in English Literature), visit exhibitions, spend time with friends, and go to the gym.
