Dr Patricia Andrew - Consultant
Patricia has worked as an independent consultant since 2002, following 25 years experience in local authority museums and collections management, and the Scottish Museums Council.
Patricia works as either sole adviser or in association with other consultants and organisations on small to medium-sized projects.
Recent projects include written collections care advice for the Collections Trust, advice on applications and monitoring of HLF grant expenditure, policy development and fundraising for independent museums, collections care policy, commercial museum development, and documentation and management plans for private collections.
Patricia also serves on the committee of Scotland's Recognition Scheme, set up in 2006 to recognise collections of national significance held by Scotland's non-national museums and galleries.
In addition to museum projects, Patricia teaches art history to undergraduates at the University of Edinburgh, and lectures regularly at the National Galleries of Scotland. Since 2008 she has been a registered NADFAS lecturer. Principal areas of academic research and publication are 18-20th century British and European art and garden history.
