Delegate Rating 100% Good to Excellent

image: OpenCultureStrong social media interest ensured OpenCulture’s Twitter hashtag #OC14 trended on both days of OpenCulture (25 and 26 June) when it was presented at the Kia Oval in London. The event attracted a record attendance with more than 40 speakers delivering challenging presentations and leading the debate in plenary and CPD-focused seminar sessions.

Among the conference highlights were The Great Debate on the motion "This House believes that a great museum, archive or library collects or dies" which was carried by 78 votes to 21 votes.The conference theme “Putting your collection to work” resonated with delegates who rated the event 100% Good to Excellent.

One exhibition highlight was Inition’s 3D and Virtual Reality Showcase which included a 3D laser scan of the conference room. This is now available on YouTube, while a selection of images from the event are on Flickr.

OpenCulture was used to launch the Collections Trust’s new website and also featured the Collections Trust Awards 2014.
