New Advice Team at Collections Link
MDA has announced the creation of a new team of Collections Management experts to deliver advice and resources through the award-winning Collections Link advisory service.
The team members, Margaret Harrison, Naomi Korn and Susanna Hillhouse, are all experienced practitioners with a high level of Collections Management expertise and extensive sectoral knowledge.
The advisers will work with Collections Link partner organisations and other cultural heritage sector bodies to co-ordinate the provision of Collections Management advice to museums, libraries and archives across the whole of the UK. Their work will also include the development of new resources in response to user demand and to fill gaps in advice provision.
Alex Dawson, MDA Head of Programmes, commented, 'This new team will play a vital role in ensuring that all museums in the UK have access to the support they need to achieve best practice in the care of their collections. Our advisers all have proven track records in providing expert advice to a wide range of museums and heritage organisations, and are well known and respected throughout the sector.'
The advisers will be available to give or broker advice on the full range of subject areas covered by Collections Link, from documentation, copyright and conservation to security, insurance and online publishing.
