Collections Trust strengthens support for networks
3rd Dec, 2009
The Collections Trust has strengthened its provision of support for professional groups and networks with the appointment of Susanna Hillhouse as Networks Officer.
Susanna will work alongside Laura Whitton in the Networks Team to deliver a range of services designed to enable practitioners to connect, share their knowledge and learn from the experiences of their peers. She will also be responsible for helping networks to participate in national programmes such as the Culture Grid and Collections Link, and international projects like Europeana.
Susanna is a specialist in Collections Management and previously ran the Accreditation Scheme in Scotland. She now works as a freelance consultant and her role with the Collections Trust will complement her daily work of helping museums take pragmatic, practical steps towards meeting industry standards.
Alex Dawson, Collections Trust Head of Programmes, commented, “Susanna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, and her work will support practitioners in finding the expert advice they need to make their collections available to new and wider audiences. She will also play a vital role in ensuring that our partners' needs are reflected in Collections Trust services. I am delighted to welcome her to our team.”
