I work with the Collections Trust because I believe in its mission to lead the sector on the management, use and exploitation of rights. I am committed to ensuring that professionals working within museums, libraries and archives become proficient in their understanding and ability to manage their IP, to fully realise the potenial of their collections.

I was initially trained as an Archaeologist, spending a number of years as an Assistant Curator of Prehistory before going on to specialise in copyright and other Intellectual Property Rights within the cultural heritage sector. As part of my freelance work, I work with clients from across the public sector as well as commercial organisations.

My role at the Collections Trust is to deliver rights related standards, advice to the community, support and resources. I am also working on a long-term IP strategy for the Collections Trust and the sector, to ensure professionals are empowered to make informed decisions about the challenges and opportunities offered by IP. Moreover, I am Chair of the Collections Trust's IP Advisory Committee for Collections, which is an independent expert panel created to establish position statements on IP and Collections, and help inform the future development of the Collections Trust's work on IP and rights management. I am also one of the Collections Trust's copyright trainers, delivering a number of the Collections Trust's copyright training modules to professionals across the UK.

I spend most of my free time with my family, exploring the great outdoors and trying to escape the city. I also love fishing, reading, walking and cooking.
